In 1953 allong came CONFIDENTIAL.
Nothing was sacred to CONFIDENTIAL.
It gave lie to the belief that you couldn’t get out a publication dealing with Hollywood personalities unless you played ball with the studios.
Not only did they get a magazine out, they climbed to the biggest circulation in the country month after month, until 1957 when CONFIDENTIAL was hauled into court by the Attorney General’s office in California on charges of publishing obscene and criminally libelous material.
