Magazines began to depend on a new tribe of photographer to fill their pages with the hot names that were no as available as they had been.

It was then dawn of the paparazzi, so named for the packs of photographers that roamed the Via Veneto in Rome in search of catching celebrities off guard.

Globe Photos continued to be accorded as much cooperation as was permitted because the agency had long since established its worth as a major route to the important publications and its photographers enjoyed a long-standing rapport not only with the Hollywood establishment but with its royalty.

But – “to the where the action is” – candid street photographers were added to teh stable of photographers Globe represented and their coverage became a regular part of Globe’s weekly syndicated candid service.
