THE EX TOMBOYS RIDING WEARING THE SKIRT

Admittedly, the constant increase of pink quotas in the motorbike world is an evolution for which few people would have bet a few years ago.
Even the fashion world has noticed us and is courting us: a sign of the times.
In 1897 Lea Lemoine raced on the track for the first French championship for women in skirts, boots, blouse and hat.
Then there was the debut of racing suits with the “soap tablets” on the knee, helmets and bikers in polycarburate and the riding girls passed to male fashion.
Today we have rediscovered, from a certain point of view, our roots.
True, the girls use the technical trousers and jackets with padding, reinforced boots for safety purposes.
But if you look closely, they cannot be confused with their male “colleagues”.
No more.
Now the biker girls when are not riding they wear shaped trousers, waisted jackets and tailored jackets.
Some of them – and quite a lot of them – ride wearing a skirt.
Then a neck scarf with flowers and maybe a pair of earrings under the helmet lined with patterned fabric.
Come on guys, look at us very well, we are not white flies anymore.
And far less “tomboys.”
