Biography
Cattelan commences his career in Forlì, Italy, in the eighties, meeting with local artists. His debut exhibit takes place in 1991, at the Bologna Gallery of Modern Art, where he presents Stadium 1991, a very long foosball table with eleven Senegalese players and as many chosen from the reserve players of Cesena Calcio.
His works combine sculpture with performance, but often include newsworthy events, provocative non-conformist actions, theatrical pieces, comments on panels accompanying his works as well as the works of other artists, articles for newspapers and magazines etc.
