Giorgio Armani (Piacenza, July 11, 1934) is an Italian fashion designer and entrepreneur, among the world’s most famous.

Originally from Piacenza, he’s one of international fashion’s most important figures.  He worked for La Rinascente until 1965, when he was hired by Nino Cerruti to re-design the fashion of the Hitman brand name, package of the products of the Lanificio Cerruti brothers. His name appeared directly in the fashion universe for the first time with the Sicons leather clothing brand name. Actually, in 1974 the line Armani by Sicons was born, which finally convinced him to create his own personal brand name. His first collection dates back to 1975, the year he founded his company with his name.
