A precursor of the clear line, in his creations Lepape is influenced by orientalism, Persian miniatures and Russian ballet.

In 1917 he once again works with Poiret to create marionettes of the stylists’ models.

In 1920 he participates in La Mode du XX siècle vue par les peintres show, held in the Parisian Musée des Arts décoratifs.
