Caterina Crepax

She is the daughter of art of Caterina Crepax, Guido and an artist who has always worked with paper, drawing his famous comic stories so beloved by Federico Fellini, and dominated by the provocative and sensual character of Valentina.

She was born in Milan in 1964 and engaged in the organization sector, as art director and designer, Catherine followed in the footsteps of his father in a common artistic passion of a material that she, instead of drawing, uses in sculptural and three-dimensional sense.

With the paper work, cut and assembled like a precious fabric she makes it her sculpture–dresses, she also weaves it and does the crochet weave with a care worthy of a couture tailoring workshop. The clothes or the wonderful tapestry that are created from her hands will be exhibited in the space of exhibition halls, trade shows and theater that she is called to organize with their white and fantastic presence.
A jewelry of nature, made of leaves and berries, seeds and shoots of trees and plants. Organic necklaces and bracelets, as the ornaments of the fairies or elves of the woods, and as the first accessories in history that the man must have created, taking them from nature for his own vanity, picking flowers or seeds to braid hair, or to wear. The artist who now makes them with lightness and elegance, her name is Ceca Georgieva and she is a Bulgarian sculptor creating more sophisticated sculptures, constituted by organic elements, producing also this charming ecological jewelry. But due to their biodegradability, Georgieva’s necklaces maintain the characteristic of aging, softening and changing over the time, passing from the summer green of  freshly picked leaves to the dark brown of autumn. Those wearing them will assist to the changing of a season, like a nymph who is the guardian of the tree spirit.
