Grau, who became a naturalized French citizen after moving to Paris in 1930, inaugurated his own exhibit at the Publicity Museum in Paris, had a permanent section of the Rimini City Museum dedicated to himself (composed of works which he donated) and was celebrated by the Italian Institute of Culture in Paris in 2003 with an exhibit titled “René Gruau”.
