For the Grillparzer prize awarded to me by the Science Academy of Vienna I had to buy myself a suit since two hours before the official presentation of the prize I realized suddenly that I could not show up in trousers and sweater to that extraordinary ceremony, and so right in the middle of the so-called Graben I effectively decided to go to Kohlmarkt and dress myself up with suitable solemnity, to that end I went into the men’s clothing store, one I knew well for ongoing sock purchases, which had the important name of Sir Anthony, the presentation of the Grillparzer prize was at eleven o’clock and so I had lots of time.
My idea was to buy, if only out of the box, a pure wool suit of the best quality, oyster grey in color, with matching socks, a tie and an Arrow shirt, very refined, with grey and blue stripes.
