LEVI’S, 1902
THE ANCESTORS OF JEANS ALREADY HAD THEIR DISTINCTIVE FEATURES.
The garment has 5 pockets, front, and back buttons for suspenders ( eliminated in 1937), a flap with three buttons, external reinforcement rivets on the pockets, and a half-belt (eliminated in 1941) .
These trousers are very well preserved, both in terms of the fabric and the metal of the rivets.
The patches were carefully sewn on and “camouflaged” with the weave, demonstrating a desire to make the trousers look good for as long as possible.
