  The strip you get by folding the kerchief must be long enough to make the knot. It is generally worn over a shirt with the collar unbuttoned.

    This simple way to wear a scarf needs no knot; it is generally used with evening gowns, partly out of habit and partly to not ruin a starched collar or bow tie.

  A very useful knot, if one has a shirt with a detachable collar and has lost the special button; in fact, here the collar becomes an integral part of the knot’s structure.

  Similar to the Half-mast but in addition to the normal knot we create another below the collar. It may come in handy with a particularly long tie.

  This is not a knot that is undone or loose, rather it is intentionally placed at half-mast well below the collar buttons.
