SHORTS/3

look, cotton, jeans

But are Italians really so open-minded? Micro shorts which were a synonym of outrageous behavior in the 70’s, a must-have accessory of the pin-up look in the 50’s, a sign of emancipation in the 30’s (legend has it that it that tennis player Alice Marble scandalously wore them in 1933 during a tournament in San Francisco), today qualify as a solely exhibitionistic instrument. Teenagers wear the frayed, stone-washed jeans variety; fashionistas go for those made out of skin-tight synthetic materials; daring execs wear cuffed cotton crepe ones.
