Busby, Basque beret, borsalino, wool caps pulled over the forehead like rappers do, or ski berets with pon pons (mind that pon pons can be made of mink fur) and lastly, the evergreen Sicilian cloth-cap in tweed.
In a city like Milan, during these chilly days, there are more people that go with their heads covered than those that go uncovered. Most everyone wears anything that ranges from a little warm bonnet to fashion accessories.
Caps far outweigh hats, though, as they are easier to wear and make you look younger. As a matter of fact, the so-called “heads covered” trend was established first by teenagers among themselves
Wool caps that don’t let even a flock of hair pop out are a big fad among young people. They are often matched with scarves, even though “matching” of all sorts (think bags + shoes), is outdated.
Coloured caps are beautiful and look great with accessories and details for finishing your look.
However, the headgear we see on the streets is mostly dark in colour.
