Small local entrepreneurs and artisans of the Romagna district, once thriving and active in the production of sofas, have seen their nightmare of Chinese invasion come true. They report the proliferation of Chinese operated business, (the enclave of patterned fabric), that exploit clandestine work force and black labour under the “made in Italy” label. The worse thing is that they are literally stealing the jobs of Italian artisans that are making every effort to comply with the laws and regulations.
