VAN CLEEF/2

metal, diamond

Princess Grace of Monaco, Maria Callas, Françoise Hardy, the duchess of Windsor, Liz Taylor and Soraya all wore Van Cleef. And some vault inventions parade in the upcoming displays of Patrick Jouin and Sanjit Manku: like the lacquer and diamond minaudière which took the place of the evening bag or the “mysterious wreath” patented in 1933. By means of this technique the metal is invisible and the stones, most sapphires and rubies, seem to juxtapose one with another – by Enrico Albamonte.
